Background
Tigoi Girls High School, situated in Hamisi Sub-County, Vihiga County, Kenya, is an outstanding extra-county girls’ boarding school renowned for its academic achievements and success in sports, particularly basketball and hockey. Established in 1964, as a mixed day school with 23 students. The school has experienced substantial growth and currently caters to around 2,251 students. Under the leadership of the Senior Principal Linda M. Zalo, Tigoi Girls’ High School focuses on creating a conducive learning environment by continuously upgrading and expanding its infrastructure. The school is committed to providing quality education and has consistently performed well in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. Admissions to Tigoi Girls’ High School are competitive and managed by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
