Thrombosis

It is the formation of a clot in blood vessels.

A blockage of coronary artery that supplies the heart muscle is known as coronary thrombosis.

This results to less oxygen and nutrients supply to the heart, which may cause heart attack.

If the heart cannot meet the body’s circulatory requirements at rest, it becomes overworked and worked

Causes

  • Hardening of arteries making the walls less elastic (arteriosclerosis).
  • Accumulation of cholesterol in arteries.

Symptoms

  • Heart attack.
  • Brain damage.

Prevention

  • Reduce fat intake
  • Regular physical exercise
