ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION

Asexual reproduction is the production of offspring from a single organism without the fusion of gametes.

Meiosis is not involved and the offspring are identical to the parents.

Types of asexual reproduction

(a) Binary Fission in Amoeba

(b) Sporulation (spore formation) in Rhizopus spp

(c) Budding in yeast
