POLLINATION

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma.

Are of 2 types;

(a) Self-pollination

(b) Cross pollination

 

Self-pollination

It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the same plant.

Cross pollination

It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower on a different plant but of the same species.
