Pollution is the contamination of the environment by the discharge of substances that affect the well-being of organisms in their habitats.
Pollution is also the release of substances into the environment in such quantities whose effects are either harmful or unpleasant to living organisms.
Pollutant is a substance that contaminates the environment.

These are three categories:
